This new home was for a retired builder who joked about using our design as a rough guide – a message that strikes fear into the heart of any architect.  In reality they followed every one of our details to the letter, fortunately!

The main constraints were underground, with underground pipes to be avoided on three sides.  The final design deftly steps around these obstacles to provide a modern 7 star home that fits within its suburban context, whilst offering layers of detail through the creative use of recycled bricks.
