This project is about providing affordable, safe and secure housing options to older single women living in the Bendigo community.  The existing units were built in the 1960’s and from the outside had a very mid-Century Modern feel that we have preserved and enhanced as much as possible whilst upgrading glazing and insulation.    Internally, the units have been completely refurbished and enlarged to modern standards, with 6 star energy efficiency, all electric heating and cooling, open plan living areas, new kitchens and bathrooms and each with two bedrooms. 

Benetas have gone to great lengths to make this project possible and should be commended for their vision and commitment.
